We didn't do mental math today, we went right into learning a new lession about mean, median and mode.
median-middle number
mean(x) the sum of all the x-values, divided by n
mode- most frequently occuring. NOTE may NOT exist, or a data may have mutiple modes.

We looked at Mr.Maxs brother's house on google earth and looked at other places. Then we did mental math and mr.max told us a story. After that, it was a working period and we worked on our project.

Today was a long block, we didn't do mental math because we had a grad meeting until 9:45. We went back to class and started talking about vectors again. This method was called the triangle method steps * when do I use this method? " When vectors are 'stacked' chronologically. "

We did mental math today and then we went right into learing about Vectors which is anything with both magnitude & direction. " how much, "which way". Then we got an assignment and we are working on Exercise 1.

We did mental math this morning and then handed them in because the 10 spots were up. Then Mr.Max went around and did a homework check on the driveway question that was due from the other day. For the last part of class we talked about the driveway question on excel and did it as a class.

We handed in our tests we did yesterday to Mr.Max at the beginning of class. Yesterday we got to work on them alone, and then at ten to ten he took the cardboard pieces away and we got to work on them with friends/class members. Today, Mr.Max handed out a math portfolio he borrowed from a teacher in Winnipeg. We worked on question number two together as a class.

We did mental math and then we discussed Sally's car analysis and what situation would suit her best. Then we talked about Templates: Excel Spreadsheets 1)net worth statements 2)Debt Equity Ratio 3)G.D.S.R Gross Debt Service Ratio. We did an example together as a class using The Patridge Family and placed numbers for their car payments, rent, heat, etc.

Today we made a spreadsheet from the question we did yesterday on car payments/loans from the bank. We learned different kinds of formulas for simple interest. I would rather do the questions on a calculator.

We did mental math today and then we went right into learning a new lesson on Personal Finance. This can help us with everyday life because we did an example on buying a car and borrowing money from the bank. We wrote down the steps from the calculater on our papers.

We did mental math first thing this morning. Then we went right into learing a new lesson about Sequences & Series. 1) Geometric Artithmetic Sequences Prediction Stability and Exponential Growth 2) Fractal Analysis Perimeters Avens and Voumes. We also had to find the definition of Fractal which is a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts. Then we did an example Question #8 as a class from the handout we just got. We also got told there are four methods to do these problems.

Today was test day, but we had an assembly instead. It was over at 9:45, everyone that was ready for the test did the first page. The others that weren't ready it was a working/studying period. We worked on our sheets to bring into the test or questions to help us prepare for the test.

Today we had a homework check on exercise 7 questions 2,3,4,5. We went over number 4 as a class. We also discussed homework checks and if someone wasn't done if they should get a zero or another chance to get their homework done. They can show Mr.Max their homework before the lesson is over to get easy marks.

Today we dicussed networks&matricies. We did examples of non-directed networks and indirect throw EXACTLY one node. We did it together as a class, and then Mr.Max showed us an easier way to find the answers on our calculator.
